Enchanted Trees
We humans connect with trees – with their moods, their seasons, their possibilities. From the first pale greens of early spring to the rich, thick verdancy of summer to the orange-red-yellow majesty of autumn. In winter, we see their knobby-kneed limbs, naked of leaves.
Season by season, we remember how fleeting our days are. Blossoms fade. Leaves drop, sometimes gradually. Sometimes seemingly all in a day. Snow blows in with its own beauty. The whole year is a symphony. From dogwood petals dancing a song about the coming of spring through the rest notes of the strong, stolid stance of tree limbs anchored to the earth, awaiting rebirth.
