Tipping Point
No words can describe the sense of powerlessness we feel in the spring of 2022 watching the unfathomable cruelty and devastation we see daily on our television screens. There is no way to process the information. We thought we knew the basic ways of the world. What we could count on.
In response, I made this image. Yes, it feels ominous. Intentionally. The color palette is strong with an intense background pattern and intense graphic shapes. I tilted the structure to add to the tension we feel. May it not fall over. May some power prop it back into position.
