As we approach the beginning of a new year, I have so many thoughts, so many prayers for our earth and for the future of our world. This snippet from ee cummings ("i thank You God for most this amazing") captures many of them:

Like this multiple exposure image which marries trees and earth with a pure circle, may we enjoy another complete journey around the sun.
May we revel in all the colors – the many shades of green, the golds and oranges and yellows and reds.
May we welcome a new year with a new appreciation for the possibilities dancing before us.
May we feel exuberance and delight when we step out into nature.
May we imagine that we are taking root in the soil, that we are nurtured by the light of the sun.
