Because I recently completed a project called “Dance of the Winter Winds”, I am especially sensitive to how I feel in different kinds of wind, gales, and storms.
Today, I walked in light rain, a gentle breeze pulling up the edges of my umbrella, reminding me of Mary Poppins flying high holding onto her bumbershoot. The temperature was mild, the raindrops tapping against the nylon surface.
But many days, we get wild winds in our valley – winds that whip around you, make you tighten your scarf and, literally, hold onto your hat. Here there is a merger of blue sky, tall grasses, and solid earth, all seemingly rolled up together, creating stability against the invisible force.
