Hibernating

If you follow my blogs and galleries, you know that I am usually drawn to bright, vibrant, even explosive colors. Brilliant oranges and spring greens. Cerulean blues and even cherry reds.
But sometimes, in full winter, I take a deep breath and relax into scenes that stand quietly. They are in waiting mode. And in this way, these bits of landscape feel soothing, peaceful.
In today’s hectic world, the escape into these simple color palettes is just what I need. I hope that you, too, can relax into this quietude.
Trees are still now. Shhh.
They hibernate. Just waiting.
Soon, soon, spring returns.
