When you choose spring and summer plants, what colors speak to you? If you look in your closet, what color palette are your clothes? If you’ve had the freedom to paint your walls whatever you like, what have you chosen?
Many of my images live in the yellow, orange and green families, because I am capturing nature. Sometimes, though, I am amazed by the impact of a color I rarely use – like this pinky orange.
According to verywellmind.com, light pink can be seen as a “soft, healing, and peaceful” color, whereas a hot pink would be “bold, exciting, and alarming.”
Yes! I feel very soothed by the color and simplicity of the image. In fact, I think I could stare at it for hours. I imagine that I am at the beach. Near sunset. There is sand and light and water. Maybe there is a creamsicle waiting to be enjoyed. At least I see all those things in my mind’s eye.
What does this scene feel like to you?
