This image began when I shot into a still, gray lake on a cloudy day. I had no expectation that anything dramatic would emerge.
But when I started to process it, I was astonished by what was evolving. Bit by bit, a nightmarish scene of a billowing storm surfaced. Wrapped in that storm of midnight blues and purples are floors of a hotel with rooms askew, no longer safe to inhabit. The jagged jaws of the storm's fury are gnawing at the interior in what is now truly a haunted scene.
